The agreement between you (the parent holding the account) and Glurpa. Plain English on purpose.
Glurpa sells parental-control software: a channel allowlist you control, child profiles, screen-time limits, resume-where-you-left-off, drift alerts, and sync across your family's devices. We never sell access to YouTube content, and we never charge you to watch a video. Playback itself is never paywalled: we do not stop the player, insert anything before a video, or make any video cost money to watch. Your plan decides how many channels your library can hold and how many play: Pro plays all of them, and the free plan plays five, chosen by you. We never choose for you, and nothing changes on your child's screen until you have chosen. See "Plans and your library" below.
Playback is provided by YouTube through YouTube's own official embedded player. We do not host, download, store, cache, or modify any video. What is available, and what plays before or during a video, is decided by YouTube and the channel owner, not by us. Your use of the player is also governed by YouTube's Terms of Service, which you agree to by using Glurpa.

You can invite one other parent or guardian to your account. Inviting a second parent is a Pro feature; a co-parent who has already joined stays, whatever happens to the plan. They sign in as themselves and agree to these terms in their own name; they are not signing in as you. They can see and change the same channels, screens, controls and history you can, because it is one family's account rather than two. Either of you can end that link at any time, and we tell the other by email when it happens. Ending it changes nothing on a child's screen: screens stay paired to the family, not to whichever parent set them up.
You can create a code and hand it to a babysitter or a grandparent. It lasts 12 hours and it is the credential in its own right — anyone who has it has the access it grants, so treat it the way you would a door key. What it grants is deliberately small: whoever types it sees each child’s first name and avatar and whether that screen is paused, and can pause or unpause a screen. Nothing else. They cannot see watch history, change channels or time limits, see your email address, or reach anything else on your account, and typing the code creates no account for them. Creating a code is a Pro feature; using one never is, because a card expiring at eight o’clock must not leave a caregiver unable to stop a screen. End it any time from parent settings and it stops working immediately. Only one code is live at a time: making a new one ends the old one.
We do not remove, block, skip, or alter advertising, and we never will. Glurpa works with your family's own YouTube Premium subscription — if playback is ad-free for you, that is because YouTube is delivering it that way to your Premium household, not because of anything Glurpa does. YouTube Premium is sold by YouTube, separately, and we get no part of it.
The free plan is free forever, not a trial. It does not expire and we will not switch it off to push you to pay.
Right now there is nothing to buy. Glurpa is in an open beta in which every account holds every feature at no charge, and we are not charging anyone. The sections below describe how the plans work when we do start, so you can read the deal before it applies to you rather than after. We will email you before that changes. When there is a paid plan it will be billed by Stripe, monthly or yearly, and you will be able to cancel at any time and keep the paid features until the end of the period you paid for.
Your library is yours and we never delete it. Every channel you have ever approved stays saved to your account on every plan, including after you cancel.
What the plan decides is how many channels you can add. The free plan includes five; Pro includes up to 200 and lets you add and remove them as often as you like.
On the free plan those five slots are spent, not borrowed. You can always remove a channel — it is your allowlist and your decision, and we will never stand between you and taking something off your child's screen — but on the free plan removing it does not give the slot back. If you want to change your mind about a channel later, that is what Pro is for. We would rather tell you this here than let you discover it.
Pro plays every channel you have approved, and adds or removes as often as you like. The free plan plays five. If you cancel Pro while holding more than five, nothing changes on your child's screen until you choose which five to keep — we never make that choice for you and never make it while you are not looking. That choice is fixed while you stay on the free plan. The channels you did not pick are not deleted; they stay saved to your account, and subscribing again brings all of them back immediately.
Pausing — taking a channel off the TV for a while and putting it back — is a Pro feature. A paused channel is the one thing that does not appear on the TV, and it stays in your library while it is paused. Pausing never makes room to add another channel on any plan. If you are on the free plan and a channel is already paused, you can always unpause it: we will not leave something switched off with no way to switch it back on.
Adding one specific playlist — a single show from a channel, rather than everything that channel posts — is a Pro feature. On the free plan you add the channel itself, which gives your child more of that channel, not less. Any playlist already in your library stays and keeps playing, on any plan.
To be plain about what this is and is not: it is a limit on how much of the software the free plan gives you, in the same way the free plan gives you one child profile instead of four. It is not a charge to watch anything. Everything in your library plays in full, with no interruption, on every plan.
You must be 18 or older and the parent or legal guardian of the children whose profiles you create. You are responsible for the channels you approve, for keeping your sign-in email secure, and for supervising what your family watches. One household per account.
We may suspend or close any account we judge to be abusing the service. That covers everything listed above and anything else done to degrade Glurpa for other families, to take unfair advantage of it, or to damage our standing with the platforms we depend on. We will tell you why whenever we can, and if a closed account had paid time left on it, we refund that time — we would rather lose the money than keep it from someone we may have misjudged. For an actual family this will never come up; it is here for the small number of people it is written about.
Glurpa is provided as-is, with no warranty of any kind. We work hard to keep the player child-proof, but software fails, YouTube changes, videos disappear, and nothing here replaces adult supervision. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the previous twelve months. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot legally be limited.
What we collect and who receives it is set out in our Privacy Policy, which is part of this agreement.
We will email you before these terms change in a way that matters. You can close your account at any time from parent settings, which deletes your data immediately. We can end the agreement if you break these terms or if we shut the service down, and we will give notice and a refund of any unused paid period if we do.
