A kid-proof player for the YouTube channels you approve — no feed, no Shorts, no comments, no rabbit holes.
Free forever to watch the channels you've approved · no card needed
The problem
How it works
Start from our curated library, or paste any YouTube channel link. Only what you approve gets in.
Open Glurpa in the TV's browser. Scan the code with your phone, approve it, done.
Your channels, full-screen. Built for pre-readers, so accidental taps and stray navigation go nowhere. No autoplay rabbit holes, no Shorts.
What you get
Any TV with a browser — Samsung, LG, or a laptop on HDMI. No app store, nothing to install.
Each kid gets their own name, avatar, continue-watching, and rules.
Set minutes per day and a bedtime window. The player enforces them so you don't have to.
See what they watched, when, and how far they got.
One tap on any video in the history and it never plays again.
Their spot is saved to their profile, so shows resume where they stopped — on any screen.
The only account we hold is yours — a parent's email. No data about your kid beyond a first name and watch spots. No trackers, no analytics scripts, no data sold.

or $39 a year — save 35%, over 4 months free
$4.99/mo buys parent software — kid profiles, screen-time limits, watch history, drift alerts, and sync across your devices. It never buys videos: we don't charge to watch, and nothing we sell interrupts or gates playback. The free plan runs 3 channels at a time and is free forever, not a trial. Your library is yours on every plan — we never delete a channel you've approved, and the rest switch straight back on if you upgrade. Cancel anytime. Payments handled by Stripe — we never see your card.
FAQ
Yes. Videos play through YouTube's official embedded player, exactly as YouTube provides it — we never host, download, or modify anything. What you're paying for is the parent layer: the allowlist you manage, the profiles, the limits, the kid-proof screen.
Anything with a web browser: Samsung and LG smart TVs, a Fire TV or streaming box with a browser, or any laptop plugged into HDMI. It also runs on tablets, phones, and computers — pairing works the same everywhere.
Videos play inside YouTube's own player, so YouTube's ads behave exactly as they do on YouTube — we never touch ads. Glurpa works with your family's own YouTube Premium subscription: if you have one, a setting switches to standard YouTube embeds so your household subscription applies on a signed-in TV. That's YouTube's feature, sold by YouTube — we won't pretend otherwise.
We collect one thing: a parent's email address. About your kid we store only the first name and avatar you choose, plus watch positions so resume works. No trackers, no analytics scripts, no data sold — and by default videos play through YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain.
Glurpa shows one thing: the channels you approved. No search box, no feed to scroll, nothing else on the screen. It's designed to prevent accidental taps and navigation by pre-readers — the remote and touch do only what you'd expect: play, pause, skip, back. Inside Glurpa there is simply nothing to wander into.
