Open glurpa.com on the tablet or phone they’ll watch on and sign up right there — Google or Microsoft is quickest, since that device probably doesn’t have your email on it — then sign out of Google or Microsoft in that browser, so your account isn’t left on their device. Setting up a TV? Sign up on your phone instead.

Pick their channels

Start from our curated library, or paste any YouTube channel link. Only what you approve gets in.

Hand it over

Tap Open the child’s app and say whose screen it is — it’s theirs now, and it signs you out of that browser only. Anywhere else you’re signed in, like your phone, stays signed in. An iPad or iPhone in Safari has you add it to the home screen first, then shows a code. On a TV, open glurpa.com/tv in its browser and type the code it shows into your phone. What the price will buy is parent software — screen-time limits and bedtime, blocking individual videos, content-drift alerts, pausing every screen from your phone, pausing a channel and bringing it back, and narrowing a channel down to one specific show. It never buys videos: we don't charge to watch, and nothing we sell interrupts or gates playback. Pairing as many TVs, tablets and phones as you like, and keeping them in sync, is free on every plan and always will be. Every channel you approve is yours to play on every plan — we never delete one, and we never choose for you which to keep. Watching what you have approved stays free forever, whatever happens to the beta.

Fair questions

Is this allowed?

Yes. Videos play through YouTube's official embedded player, exactly as YouTube provides it — we never host, download, or modify anything. Glurpa is the parent side: the list of channels you approve, the profiles, and a child's screen designed to prevent accidental taps and navigation by pre-readers. That parent software — time limits, drift alerts and the other Pro tools — is the only thing we will ever charge for, and during the beta we charge nothing.

What TVs does it work on?

Anything with a web browser: Samsung and LG smart TVs, a Fire TV or streaming box with a browser, or any laptop plugged into HDMI. It also runs on tablets, phones, and computers — pairing works the same everywhere.

Will there be ads?

Videos play inside YouTube's own player, so YouTube's ads behave exactly as they do on YouTube — we never touch ads. Glurpa works with your family's own YouTube Premium subscription: if you have one, a setting switches to the standard YouTube player so your household subscription applies on a signed-in TV. That's YouTube's feature, sold by YouTube — we won't pretend otherwise.

What about my child's privacy?

The main items: your email address, and for your child the first name and avatar you pick, the limits you set, and what they've watched — every item is listed on our privacy page, including the code that keeps each screen paired. No advertising trackers, nothing sold. By default we also use YouTube's more private player setting, which holds off on cookies until a video actually plays.

Can my child get out of it?

Glurpa shows one thing: the channels you approved. No search box, no feed to scroll, nothing else on the screen. It's designed to prevent accidental taps and navigation by pre-readers — the remote and touch do only what you'd expect: play, pause, skip, back. Inside Glurpa there is simply nothing to wander into.
